RAIN or Shine will go all-Filipino for its final assignment in the 2018 PBA Governors' Cup.

Coach Caloy Garcia bared that the Elasto Painters have granted import Terrence Watson his release to join his wife who just gave birth to their child.

Watson has already left the country over the weekend.

That absence is a further blow to the already depleted Rain or Shine frontcourt.

The Elasto Painters are missing the services of Raymond Almazan, who was suspended by the team for the season after going MIA, as well as Beau Belga, who suffered a foot injury two weeks ago and has now been shut down for the season.

At 2-8, Rain or Shine is already out of contention for a playoff spot but will still try to play the spoiler role when it meets NLEX on Saturday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Garcia, though, vowed that his team will remain competitive despite having a thin frontline.

"We'll still give our best no matter kung sino yung nandito. We'll try to finish the season strong," he said.
