RAIN or Shine stacked up on its youth brigade after coming to new terms with Ed Daquioag and Norbert Torres.
The two were signed to three-year contracts just before the holiday season in the presence of team manager and board of governor Atty. Mamerto Mondragon.
Terms of the deal however, were not made available.
Daquioag is 27 while Torres is 28, ensuring the Elasto Painters a stock of young players to complement its veteran core of Gabe Norwood, Beau Belga, Raymond Almazan, Jewel Ponferada, two-time league MVP James Yap, and Chris Tiu, should he decide to play one more conference in the coming PBA Philippine Cup.
Earlier, the team locked rookie first-round picks Javee Mocon and JayJay Alejandro to separate three-year contracts.
Daquioag came over to Rain or Shine following a one-on-one trade with Meralco for fellow Gilas Pilipinas pool member Mike Tolomia.
Torres, on the other hand, was acquired by the team in a separate trade with TnT Katropa for defense specialist Don Trollano.
