TWO teams, including unbeaten Rain or Shine, seek to continue winning, while two squads, including Converge, look to end their losing streak in Wednesday's PBA 50th Season Commissioner's Cup showdown at the Ynares Center-Antipolo.
Preview of the matches below.
CONVERGE VS. TITAN ULTRA
When: Wednesday, April 15. 5:15 p.m.
Where: Ynares Center-Antipolo
Can Converge finally arrest losing streak?
Converge battles Titan Ultra on Wednesday looking to finally get back to winning. The FiberXers (1-5) lost their fifth consecutive game after bowing to Rain or Shine, 120-111, last Friday.
Titan Ultra goes for first win streak
Titan Ultra takes on Converge with a shot at winning back-to-back games. The Giant Risers (2-3) defeated Blackwater, 102-98, in their prior outing and has a chance at getting back to .500.
New assistant coach for Converge
Converge has added another assistant coach into the fold in Glenn Capacio to help head coach Dennis Pineda. Capacio could be a key cog to the coaching staff for his past PBA experience with GlobalPort along with his rich knowledge dating back to his playing days in the professional league and coaching stint in the collegiate and other professional leagues.

Abueva faces old team
Calvin Abueva goes up against his former team in Wednesday's game against Titan Ultra. The player they call ‘The Beast' only played for one conference with Titan Ultra before being traded to Converge. He recently made his FiberXers debut where he provided energy in his short minutes on the floor. In 11 minutes and 49 seconds, Abueva churned five points, four rebounds, and two assists in the loss to Rain or Shine.
Up-and-down conference for Munzon
Joshua Munzon boosted Titan Ultra on the offensive side when he had 25 points against Blackwater. The trend, however, for Munzon this conference is that his scoring production is like a seesaw, going 32, 9, 29, 9, and 25 in the five games this conference. If he goes off in scoring this time, chances are Titan Ultra is going to win.
TERRAFIRMA VS. RAIN OR SHINE
When: Wednesday, April 15. 7:30 p.m.
Where: Ynares Center-Antipolo
Rain or Shine shoots for win No. 7
Rain or Shine looks to continue its unbeaten streak on Wednesday in its game against Terrafirma. The Elasto Painters beat Converge, 120-111, in their previous outing last Friday. A win will move Rain or Shine closer to a quarterfinal berth.
Terrafirma on a slump
The Dyip have rolled back after an outstanding start to the conference, losing three straight games after a 3-0 start. Terrafirma's recent defeat was against TNT last Saturday, 101-89.
Are Hernandez and Mav coming back?
Terrafirma missed the services of Paolo Hernandez (hamstring) and Maverick Ahanmisi (sprained ankle) due to injuries in the loss to TNT, and their absence was felt. Prior to the TNT game, Hernandez's numbers dipped in the past two games including going zero against Magnolia.
Teams that run
Rain or Shine and Terrafirma gained success this conference with their fast-paced style of play. The Elasto Painters went pedal to the metal in their win over San Miguel last week when they had a 34-13 advantage in fastbreak points. The Dyip enjoyed an unbeaten start also through their pace that included a 26-12 fastbreak points gap in their second game of the conference against Converge.
