WHILE marquee names are expected to be picked in the first round, the second round of the PBA Draft has had a reputation as a good source of diamonds in the rough. The Season 50 edition of the draft set on September 7 could be no different.
Based from SPIN.ph computations and previous transactions, here is the UNOFFICIAL draft order for the second round of this year’s draft.
Take a look at our unofficial draft order for Round 1 below:

13. BARANGAY GINEBRA
By picking first in the Season 50 draft, Terrafirma was supposed to also select first in the second round. But that draft right was traded to Barangay Ginebra last July 2024 in a post-Season 49 draft deal that brought Paolo Hernandez and Hamad Hanapi, second rounders of that draft, to Terrafirma.
14. PHOENIX
For being at No. 2 in the first round, Phoenix will select at No. 14 in the second round.
15. BLACKWATER
Blackwater is picking at No. 3 in the first round and No. 15 in the second round.
16. NORTHPORT
This pick was initially shipped by NorthPort to San Miguel as part of a September 2022 trade between Barangay Ginebra and NorthPort involving Arvin Tolentino and Jamie Malonzo. San Miguel was also involved in that trade where Von Pessumal was shipped from San Miguel to Barangay Ginebra, and Jeff Chan and Kent Salado was moved from Barangay Ginebra to NorthPort.
San Miguel, however, later “returned” this pick to NorthPort as part of the JM Calma trade last April.
17. NLEX
NLEX gets to pick No. 17 in the second round after taking No. 5 in the first round.
18. TERRAFIRMA (from MAGNOLIA)
Despite the previous trade to Ginebra, Terrafirma will still able to pick in the second round as part of the Javi Gomez de Liano trade to Magnolia. Jerrick Ahanmisi was also part of that deal made just days ago.
19. MERALCO
After the No. 7 selection, Meralco will pick at No. 19 in the second round.
20. RAIN OR SHINE (from CONVERGE)
This is just the first of multiple second round picks of Rain or Shine in this draft. The right was part of the deal that moved Mike Nieto to Converge, with Converge’s 49th season second rounder (Francis Escandor) also obtained by Rain or Shine during that May 2023 trade.
21. CONVERGE (from SAN MIGUEL)
Despite losing the 20th pick, Converge still has a second round at No. 21 which was part of a trade that brought Robbie Herndon from San Miguel to the FiberXers. A 49th season second round pick by San Miguel was also included in the deal with Jason Credo being selected by Converge during that draft.
22. RAIN OR SHINE
Rain or Shine’s true pick in the second round by virtue of their semifinal finishes in the 49th season that also led to the Elasto Painters selecting No. 10 in the first round.
23. BARANGAY GINEBRA
Barangay Ginebra will be picking twice in the second round including at No. 23 which it truly owns for also selecting No. 11 in the first round.
24. RAIN OR SHINE (from TNT and BLACKWATER)
Rain or Shine will select thrice in the second round including the No. 24 pick. Originally owned by TNT, the draft right was moved to Blackwater in blockbuster March 2021 deal where the Bossing served as a conduit in the No. 4 pick in that draft that turned out to become Mikey Williams being moved from NLEX to TNT.
Blackwater then used the draft right as part of a July 2024 deal to acquire Rey Nambatac from Rain or Shine for two future draft picks that included a 49th season first rounder that turned out to become Caelan Tiongson.
The last pick in the second round could bring in another diamond in the rough for Rain or Shine. The last time Rain or Shine selected at No. 24, they got Adrian Nocum in Season 48 (2023).
