CHRIS Tiu once again stepped up at crunch time, leading Rain or Shine to a 104-94 come-from-behind win over Blackwater on Friday that assured the team a place in the quarterfinals of the PBA Commissioner's Cup.
With ROS trailing by eight heading into the payoff period, Tiu drained four three-pointers in a blistering 29-9 stretch, with the final trey putting the Elasto Painters ahead 101-89 with 2:57 left.
That fourth-quarter barrage wrapped up another amazing performance across the board for Tiu, who finished with 17 points, 10 assists, seven rebounds.
"Credit to Blackwater cause their imports are injured. Their locals gave us a hard time," said Rain or Shine coach Caloy Garcia.
"We're too relaxed. Ayun ang sinabi ko sa kanila sa halftime. The nice thing about it is that we played good defense in the fourth and Chris started hitting his shots," he added.
