RAIN or Shine sustained its winning streak that now stands at three games with a 110-103 victory over Blackwater on Saturday in the PBA Philippine Cup at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
The Elasto Painters improved to 3-4, thanks to a critical 10-0 run in the fourth quarter of a game Blackwater had controlled up until then.
The Bossing dropped to 3-3, losing for the third straight contest.

Santi Santillan had 28 points while Beau Belga added 21 for Rain or Shine. Jhonard Clarito also played a critical role in that fourth-quarter blast and finished with 16 points.
The Elasto Painters continued their resurgence after starting the conference with four straight defeats. The win also came at the expense of their former star Rey Nambatac since he was traded during the offseason to Blackwater.
Rain or Shine actually started slow, trailing 18-4, in the first quarter.
“We have been playing really good second halves,” said Rain or Shine coach Yeng Guiao. “‘Yung tatlong panalo namin, masama ‘yung start but we were able to recover in time.”
“We also survived 21 offensive rebounds [of Blackwater]. Very rarely will you win a game when you give up 21 offensive rebounds. We also survived our own free throw misses. Buti na lang we had crucial plays,” said Guiao.
Rain or Shine was trailing, 92-86, when it scored 10 straight points with Clarito chipping in five during that span.
Santillan scored 12 points in the third quarter that put Rain or Shine in a position to win as it ended the quarter down by only four, 84-80.
Rey Suerte had 20 points, while Nambatac added 13 points for the Bossing.
