THE PBA will not penalize Rafi Reavis for his comments after Game Seven of the Philippine Cup finals.
The decision was made by PBA commissioner Willie Marcial after summoning him on Friday.
Even though Reavis escaped a fine, Marcial has warned Reavis to be careful with his comments after he blasted the officiating of Game Seven where Magnolia lost to San Miguel by just one point, 72-71.
Marcial also added the league is always open to officiating concerns by players during and even after the game.
“Sabi ko ingat ka lang sa sasabihin mo,” Marcial said. “Seventeen years ka na dito. Alam mo na kung ano ‘yung detrimental to the league. (Next time), puntahan mo ako.”
Reavis made the comment after he fouled out in Game Seven of the finals, where he felt calls didn’t went their way in the match.
In contrast, Reavis said June Mar Fajardo, the one he was guarding for most of the series, didn’t incur a single foul in Game Seven that saw him finish with 17 points and 31 rebounds.
Marcial, however, explained Reavis admitted the comments were made because it was in the heat of the moment after the Hotshots lost in the rubber match for the Philippine Cup title.
