A POSTER balloon protesting the perceived lack of support for the Philippine national team was dropped from the top floors of the Robinsons Place mall prior to the start of the PBA Rookie Draft on Sunday.

The poster, held up by four multi-colored balloons, bore the words, 'Nasaan ang Suporta sa Gilas Pilipinas' apparently in protest of the absence of some top PBA players from the national pool.

It was not known who was behind the move, although a campaign was launched online among basketball fans who wanted to express displeasure for the 'lack of support' for Gilas during draft day.

The protest poster, however, didn’t disrupt the draft proceedings as it landed far away from the stage where the teams were preparing to make their selections from the new rookie class.
