POY Erram has been ruled out for the remainder of the PBA 49th Season Philippine Cup Finals due to a meniscus tear in his left knee.

Erram said he will need to undergo surgery and will sit out for three to four months.

“Wala eh, hindi talaga kakayanin,” said Erram after TNT's Game 5 win on Wednesday. “Nagpa-MRI kami kanina. Nagkaroon ng meniscal tear ‘yung left leg ko. Ngayon namamaga siya, kailangan ko pa-surgery.”

“Sabi ng team doctor namin, baka umabot ng three to four (months),” said Erram, referring to his recovery. “Magang-maga nga ngayon. Nahihirapan ako maglakad.”

The timetable for his recovery means that Erram could also miss the first few games of TNT next season, which will start in October.

The 36-year-old TNT center suffered the injury in Game 4 while playing with an ankle sprain in his right foot.

“Feeling ko kasi nung last game, talagang may gumanon sa tuhod ko. Naka-gamot kasi ako so hindi ko masyadong naramdaman. Kinabukasan, magang-maga siya,” said Erram.

Erram, who finishes the finals with averages of 7.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 2.0 blocks in three games, said there is no timetable yet on when he will go under the knife due to prior commitments.

“So far, wala pa kasi may mga naunang kailangang gawin. ‘Yun muna,” Erram said.

Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser delivered a strong Game Five performance against June Mar Fajardo and other SMB bigs.

Erram said his ankle has also not healed.

“Hanggang ngayon, magang-maga. Wala pa siyang motion. Itim pa rin siya. Pero part ng trabaho ‘yun. Once na mag-step ka sa court, it’s a risk. Aksidente eh,” said Erram.

The 6-foot-8 Erram said he will continue to show up for TNT’s games in street clothes to show his support to the team.

“’Yun na lang magagawa ko eh. Support them, kausapin ‘yung mga players kung ano kailangang gawin offensively and defensively kung ano ‘yung nakikita ko sa loob. Ganun na lang talaga para kahit papaano, makatulong sa team,” said Erram.
