POY Erram’s outbursts are getting common these days.

The usually mild-mannered big man blew his top yet again on Wednesday that factored in another Blackwater loss - a 93-89 decision at the hands of a depleyed NLEX side in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup.

The 6-foot-8 slotman threw a tantrum early in the third quarter when he was complaining to his teammates about what seemed like his lack of touches.

Erram, however, insisted his outburst wasn’t about his role on offense, much less his touches.

“Hindi naman ako yung player na kelangan talaga ng touches eh,” the 28-year-old cager said. “I do the dirty work naman every game, nakikita niyo naman yun. Ano lang, frustration lang talaga and nothing more dun sa mga touches.”

“Di ko kailangan humawak ng bola, pwede naman ako mag-rebound, mag-hustle para maka-score,” he added.

It was the third time Erram had an uncharacteristic outblurst this season after being involved in a fight with Michael Miranda, coincidentally in a tune-up game against NLEX in the offseason, before having another one that led to an ejection in a game against Phoenix last month.

Erram admitted is was nothing more than frustration as the Elite were on the verge of reeling to a seventh straight defeat.

“Frustration lang kasi siyempre, gusto naming manalo,” the rookie All-Star said. “Down kami zero-seven na so parang frustrated lang talaga na gusto kong manalo.”

“After nun, di ko na pinatagal, nag-apologize din ako kina coach dun mismo sa game kasi out of line na ginawa ko,” he added. “Thankful din ako na sinuportahan nila ako and nakalaro pa rin ako nang maayos.”

"Nag-sorry rin ako sa kanila. Sabi nila, next time, try ko na i-calm yung sarili ko and wag na ma-frustrate kasi part of my game na rin.”

Returning import Bill Walker also talked to Erram after the game.

“Listen man, I see so much of myself in Poy - his demeanor and his passion,” the former NBA player said. “I had to tell him like, 'Man, I've been there!' It's my fourth time here, you got to focus on what's between the lines.”

“If he does that, he's going to be a different player. We need him to be focused because he is the anchor of our team,” he added.
