PHILIPPINE National Police (PNP) chief Ronald ‘Bato’ Dela Rosa watched the PBA Governors Cup finals between Barangay Ginebra and Meralco for the second time in a week’s span on Sunday.

He admitted having second thoughts about going to the Smart Araneta Coliseum though, for Game Five of the best-of-seven title series. And typhoon Karen has nothing do about it.

“Baka sabihin ako na naman ang dahilan,” he told mediamen during halftime, obviously referring to the Kings’ 114-109 loss in overtime against the Bolts during the series opener last week when he watched the finals for the first time since being appointed head of the country’s police force by President Duterte.

“Malungkot ako (nung natalo sa Game One),” said Dela Rosa. flanked by Quezon City police deputy director General Guillermo Lorenzo Eliazar and NCRPO General Oscar Albayalde “Game Two hindi ako nanood. Game Three hindi rin ako nanood.”

“Kaya eto ngayon, siguro tuluy-tuloy na ito,” he stressed, and then asked members of the media, “Ano tingin ninyo, mananalo?”

Ginebra did win, 92-81, to move a win away from its first championship since 2008.
