PJ Simon definitely had a double celebration early Monday morning following Magnolia’s 87-78 win over NLEX to take a 3-2 lead in their PBA Philippine Cup semifinals series, as the Hotshots vet witnessed his fiancee Jehza Huelar crowned Bb. Pilipinas Supranational in the 2018 Binibining Pilipinas pageant.
Simon rushed from Antipolo’s Ynares Center to Araneta Coliseum to show his support for his fiancee, soon after the Hotshots moved on the verge of joining San Miguel in the finals. But staying up late was all worth it for the longtime Purefoods franchise cager as Huelar ended up as the country’s representative for the 2018 Miss Supranational, where her predecessor Chanel Thomas cracked the Top 10 last year.
The 37-year-old guard was quick to post on his social media account just how proud he is of his ‘queen.’
“So happy to have a front-row seat to see your dreams come true,” Simon wrote, adding the hashtags #MyQueen #AllGloryToYouLord #MsSupranational2018.
The 23-year-old Huelar is no stranger to beauty pageants, specifically in Binibining Pilipinas where she was the second runner-up two years ago.
The Makilala-born cager has been in a relationship with the beauty queen from Davao City for three years, but Simon took it to the next level as he proposed to Huelar just in time to welcome 2018.
It has indeed been a blessed year for the couple so far.
