PIDO Jarencio kept mum about whether NorthPort will keep import Mychal Ammons or not.

But he did utter cryptic words that suggest Ammons’ job isn’t secure even after the Batang Pier put an end to their losing streak in the PBA Governors Cup on Saturday.

“Basta tandaan ninyo, walang permanente sa mundo,” said the NorthPort coach when asked if the team is sticking out with its 27-year-old import from Maryland. “Basta kami nandito. May dumating, walan dumating, pinalitan o papalitan.”

Ammons finished with 12 points, six rebounds, and two assists in the Batang Pier’s 80-70 win over Phoenix Fuel Masters at the Smart Araneta Coliseum that arrested the team’s four game losing streak.

The Batang Pier now carry a 2-4 (win-loss) record and remain very much in the hunt for a playoffs berth.

Again Jarencio was non-committal about a possible import change for NorthPort as it goes for the final push in its bid to make the quarterfinals.

“Hindi ko masasagot yan,” he said.

“Pag hindi mo tinuruan, di naturuan, e di pauwiin,” added Jarencio. “Basta ang importante nandito kami, nagta-trabaho kami for the team.”
