CLARK FREEPORT – NorthPort is ready to play whoever is there with the team.
While not having prolific gunner Robert Bolick inside the PBA bubble is a major blow in the Batang Pier’s campaign in the Philippine Cup, coach Pido Jarencio said they are ready to move on and face their own battle.
“For us let’s not talk about Robert. Robert is out. So kung sino yung andito, yan na,” said Jarencio.
“Kami we need Robert. But eto na kami, eto na yung team namin.”
Team management decided to just have Bolick rest for the entire season and fully recover from the ACL surgery performed on him a year ago.

Although the sophomore guard is already cleared to play, NorthPort opted to have him lined up for next year.
Northport's performance was obviously wanting after the Batang Pier fell prey to Blackwater Elite in their opening game Monday, 96-89.
Jarencio just utilized a 12-man line-up against the Elite and didn’t play Jonathan Grey and Bradwyn Guinto, who are also coming off injuries prior to the season restart.
But the two, nonetheless, are expected to play for the team in its succeeding games.
In their absence however, Jarencio stressed the need for the next man to step up.
In the case of Bolick, the NorthPort coach said he has complete trust in his three-guard rotation of Nico Elorde, LA Revilla, and rookie Renzo Subido.
“Malaki ang tiwala ko kay Renzo, Nico, and LA. That’s it. It’s up to them to step up and make contributions para sa team,” said Jarencio.
