Not even the return of Terrafirma import Thomas De Thaey, Juami Tiongson, and Kemark Carino could salvage the Dyip as they fell behind, 91-61, late in the third.

“We are playing really good, selfless basketball, and one of the reasons is (Williams),” said Phoenix coach Jamike Jarin. “Johnathan Williams is really playing well and playing very selfless and leading the team.”

    De Thaey returns

De Thaey had 18 points and 14 rebounds, while Javi Gomez de Liano had 13 points and seven rebounds for the Dyip. Tiongson had 10 points but rookie Stephen Holt was held to two points and shot 1-of-12 from the field.

Phoenix played without Javee Mocon (illness) and Larry Muyang (birth of his second child) while Aldrech Ramos was ejected in the fourth quarter for throwing the ball at Ricci Rivero.
