RJ JAZUL and RR Garcia have signed one-year contract extensions with Phoenix, allowing the Fuelmasters to keep their veteran backcourt for the new PBA season.
The 39-year-old Jazul and the 35-year-old Garcia, two of the longest-tenured players in the Phoenix lineup, inked the deal after the Fuelmasters played a tune-up game against Magnolia.

The veteran guards now join newly acquired youngster Evan Nelle in the backcourt of Phoenix, which also shored up its frontline by signing big men Yousef Taha, Prince Caperal, and rookie Dave Ando.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Jazul, who has been with the team since 2017 along with Jason Perkins, averaged 6.4 points in 33 games, while shooting a team-best 37 three-pointers and 12 four-pointers last season with the Fuelmasters.

Jazul has been in the PBA since 2010 when he was drafted in the second round by Rain or Shine. He also played for Shopinas/Air21 and Alaska where he won a championship in the 2013 Commissioner’s Cup.
Garcia, meanwhile, has been with the Fuelmasters since 2019. He averaged 5.9 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.5 assists with Phoenix in 32 games last season.
