PHOENIX bagged third place in the 2025 Kadayawan Invitational Basketball Tournament after defeating Converge, 101-80, last Sunday at the USEP Gym in Davao City.
The Fuelmasters gifted Willy Wilson his first win of the preseason after being appointed as their new head coach while avoiding a winless campaign in the pocket tournament that also serves as a preparation for the PBA 50th season.

Phoenix went 0-3 (win-loss) in the preliminaries before pulling off the win in the battle for third.
Raffy Verano topscored for the Fuelmasters with 19 points while hauling nine rebounds, and Tyler Tio had 17 points and seven assists. Kai Ballungay added 15 points, and Sean Manganti tallied 14 points for Phoenix.
Bryan Santos and King Caralipio had 12 points apiece and Alec Stockton contributed 11 for Converge, which went 1-2 in the preliminaries.
Schonny Winston didn’t play for the FiberXers in their final game of the tournament.
