VIC Manuel said the Alaska Aces had no one to blame but themselves AFTER blowing a twice-to-beat advantage against Ginebra in the PBA Philippine Cup quarterfinals.

Not one to make excuses, Manuel was also quick to point out that the Gin Kings just did a spectacular job on both ends of the floor, something that the Aces failed to do on Tuesday.

"Mistake namin e, nagpabaya kami. Tsaka Ginebra mahirap talaga kalaban," said Manuel.

The Alaska cager rued their poor execution on offense and porous defense in the 108-97 loss at the hands of the Gin Kings at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

"Bad execution namin. Masyado nagmamadali. Turnovers pa rin naging problema namin. Yung communication namin sa defense (hindi maganda), nakaka-easy layup sila at ganda talaga nilaro nila," said Manuel, who scattered 23 points on top of five rebounds and three assists.

But Manuel is focusing on the positives they gained during the All-Filipino conference, where they finished second after the elimination round, and looks to start over when the Aces resume practice in two weeks to prepare for the import-laced Commissioner's Cup.

"Move on na lang. Focus na lang next conference," he said.
