SAN Miguel returns to the court, seeking to return to a winning note against Titan Ultra, while Terrafirma and Macau fight over a second straight win in the PBA 50th Season Governors’ Cup.

Back-to-back wins sought
Terrafirma and Macau meet for a chance to make it two in a row. The Dyip snapped a three-game losing streak last Saturday when they defeated TNT, 111-106, behind the exploits of Juami Tiongson. The Giant Pandas broke into the win column that same day when they beat Titan Ultra, 132-126.
Get closer to fourth spot
Terrafirma and Macau also look to close the gap to the group leaders. Now with a 2-3 record, the Dyip try to move up to fourth-place in the Group A standings. On the other hand, despite their breakthrough, the Giant Pandas still need a lot more to make up for their four losses.
Being Maverick
Aside from the play of Justin Strings and resurgence of Tiongson, Maverick Ahanmisi has been one of the storylines in Terrafirma’s respectable showing thus far this conference.
Ahanmisi scored 20 points in both of his last two games, and is averaging a third-best 15.2 points for the Dyip, while also leading them in assists with 7.2 per outing.
Jenning a welcome addition
Macau got on the board not long after the return of Jenning Leung, who had 22 points on 4-of-11 from three-point range. Leung gives the Giant Pandas added offensive punch after De’Vondre Perry, Damian Chongqui, and Ramon Cao.

Get back on track
San Miguel and Titan Ultra look to get back on track when they face each other. The Beermen suffered their first defeat in their fourth game of the conference after bowing to still-unbeaten NLEX, 110-96, last Sunday. The Giant Risers failed to make it two wins in a row after bowing to Macau, 132-126, last Saturday.
Cjay sorely missed
In San Miguel’s loss to NLEX, Cjay Perez went down with a groin injury and missed the rest of the game. Perez only had seven points in the 11 minutes he played prior to the injury after averaging 24.7 over the first three games.
Perez is a gametime decision for this game, according to team manager Gee Abanilla, who said, “Gusto niyang maglaro. It will really depend on the doctor and the PT if he could perform the test that they will make him do later.”
Fran double-double
Quietly making his presence for Titan Ultra is Fran Yu, who had a double-double against Macau.
Yu had 17 points, seven rebounds, and career-high 14 assists to continue his superb play at the point guard position. He is averaging 9.2 assists, including 12.5 the last two games.
