AFTER days of negotiations, a three-team trade has finally been agreed upon by the Meralco Bolts, GlobalPort Batang Pier and the NLEX Road Warriors.
Under the agreement set to be sent to the office of PBA commissioner Chito Salud, GlobalPort will send big man Kelly Nabong to Meralco for streak-shooting guard John Wilson, who will then be shipped to NLEX for its second-round pick in the 2016 rookie draft.
The paper works for the deal were supposed to be submitted to the PBA as early as Friday but Globalport withdrew temporarily from the negotiations, said a source.
Nabong, a wide-bodied three-year pro, should be a welcome addition to Meralco's frontline which relies mostly on forwards Reynel Hugnatan, Cliff Hodge and John Ferriols as well as veteran Danny Ildefonso.
On the other hand, Wilson will add a scoring option to NLEX's backcourt.
