The reunion between the San Beda alumni at NLEX was made possible after Pascual’s trade from Phoenix Fuel Masters to the Road Warriors was approved by the PBA Office on Thursday.

Pascual is part of the six-player, three-team deal that also involved TNT Tropang Giga.
Under the setup, the Fuel Masters sent Pascual and Sean Anthony to the Road Warriors for Justin Chua, Paul Varilla, and NLEX’s highest second round pick in the 48th season draft.

In turn, Phoenix dealt Chua and Varilla to the Tropang Giga for Raul Soyud, JJ Alejandro, and TNT’s second round pick in the 52nd season draft.
Pascual played for four years with Lim at San Beda where they won together three NCAA men’s basketball championships in 2008 and 2010-11.
Under Lim, the 6-foot-4 Pascual was hailed the 2009 NCAA Most Improved Player.
Pascual won another championship in 2012, by which time Lim was no longer coach of the Red Lions and was replaced by Ronnie Magsanoc.
He plays for Lim in the PBA for the first time on Jan. 25 when NLEX takes on Blackwater at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Chua and Varilla, along with Soyud and Alejandro on the other hand, are expected to make their respective debuts with their new teams that same day as the Tropang Giga and Fuel Masters collide in the main game.
