THE PBA will also have virtual fans for the resumption of the 2020 Philippine Cup in the bubble in Pampanga.
Commissioner Willie Marcial said the PBA will set up LED screens that will allow fans to be visible in the venue. This is similar to the system the NBA put in place in its bubble at the Wide World of Sports in Orlando.
The games in the PBA bubble will be played at the Angeles University Foundation gym and will be closed to the public as mass gatherings are still not allowed during the pandemic.
Marcial also added crowd noise will also be present in the arena even though only essential personnel will be present at the venue.
“Parang NBA, may LED,” said Marcial.
Marcial said the league wants a unique experience with the help of its broadcast partner TV5 for its fans even though they can only watch the games on television or on social media.
With doubleheaders to be played every day inside the PBA bubble, Marcial said TV5 will show the matches live on its usual days of Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, while others will be broadcasted on ONE Sports and PBA Rush on Cignal.
