MERALCO active consultant Nenad Vucinic will be fined an unspecified amount after charging to the officials' table to confront the refs just seconds after Game 2 of the PBA Philippine Cup finals between Meralco and defending champion San Miguel.

The Serbian coach was seen rushing towards the referees shortly after the 95-94 loss by the Bolts on Friday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum that tied the best-of-seven series at one-game apiece.

Commissioner Willie Marcial said the fine is automatic since players, coaches, and team officials are not supposed to confront referees after a game and should head straight to their dugout following the customary handshake of both teams.
There is no need to summon the Meralco active consultant and instead, will be given a memo about the fine, which is pegged at P20,000 and above.
The loss was a heartbreaker for Meralco, which led 93-89 with 25 seconds left behind a huge three pointer by Chris Banchero.
But the Bolts imploded the rest of the way as San Miguel pulled off the thrilling comeback win behind the big guns of CJ Perez and Marcio Lassiter.
