TNT vies for a quarterfinal berth in the final day of the elimination of the PBA 48th Season Commissioner’s Cup on Sunday.
The Tropang Giga face Phoenix Super LPG at 6:30 p.m. at the Philsports Arena where they look to secure the No. 8 position in the quarterfinals.
TNT got an opportunity to capture the quarterfinals outright after NLEX lost to Barangay Ginebra, 103-99, on Saturday in Legazpi City to fall to a 4-7 win-loss record at the end of the eliminations.
However, the Tropang Giga have also lost three straight games heading into the game against the Fuel Masters. TNT dropped a 119-112 decision against Rain or Shine last January 5, leaving the Tropang Giga to scamper for a win in order to gain a quarterfinal berth.
Another loss by the Tropang Giga will relegate them to a playoff match with the Road Warriors for the No. 8 seat.

Phoenix though still has a lot to play for as a win will give the Fuel Masters the No. 2 position in the quarterfinals.
A loss though will drop the Fuel Masters to No. 4 in the quarterfinals.
The Fuel Masters nabbed their eighth win in 10 games after defeating Meralco, 93-83, last January 10.
In the first game, Rain or Shine tries to finish the eliminations on a high note when it faces Converge at 3 p.m.
The Elasto Painters look to extend their winning streak to six games in the contest against the FiberXers.
Rain or Shine has already secured the No. 7 position, but wants to enter the quarterfinals on a winning note.
Holding a 1-9 win-loss record and on a three-game losing streak, the FiberXers want to end the eliminations on a winning note.
