BETTER safe than sorry.
With the massive threat of incoming supertyphoon Uwan, the PBA decided to cancel the Sunday double-header of the Season 50 Philippine Cup at the Ynares Center in Montalban.
The twin-bill was supposed to feature Barangay Ginebra against Titan Ultra in the main game, and TNT vs. Magnolia in the curtain-raiser.

But with the supertyphoon forecast to make a landfall either in Northern or Central Luzon by Sunday night, the league deemed it best to defer the games for some other time.
SPIN.ph learned league officials discussed the matter Friday night following the recommendation by the PBA Board to postpone Sunday's games in the wake of the impending calamity.
