DASMARIÑAS CITY – The PBA is on pace for a banner crowd in its first-ever game at the Dasmariñas City Arena in Cavite.
Long lines of fans, some of whom lined up a s early as 6 a.m., according to venue employees, formed outside the ticket counters for two Game Threes in the PBA 48th Season Philippine Cup semifinals that included the match-up between crowd favorite Barangay Ginebra and Meralco at 7:30 p.m.

Also to be held in the newly-constructed venue with a capacity of about 4,500 is Game Three of the best-of-seven series between San Miguel and Rain or Shine at 4:30 p.m.
Several fans have also braved the summer heat several hours before tipoff to buy tickets for the Wednesday doubleheader.
SPIN.ph learned from city officials that tickets have been selling like hotcakes. Some tickets, however, especially for the lower box sections have landed in the hands of scalpers.

Unconfirmed reports, including comments from readers in SPIN.ph’s Facebook page, said tickets are being sold as high as six times the face value in the black market.
A good-sized attendance here should be a welcome development for the PBA, which has been experiencing lean crowds in most of their games during the elimination round.

An out-of-town game between TNT and NLEX also saw a capacity crowd at the Candon Arena in Ilocos Sur last April 13.
The Beermen will look to grab a 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven semifinal series in their match-up against the Elasto Painters.
On the other hand, the Bolts and the Gin Kings are tied at 1-all.
