THE PBA has yet to receive the decision of the Games and Amusements Board (GAB) revoking the playing license of controversial shooting guard John Amores of Northport.
Commissioner Willie Marcial said his office has not seen a copy of the GAB decision rescinding Amores' license and therefore, making him ineligible to play in Asia’s first-ever pro league or any other professional cage league in the country.

News of the GAB decision was leaked late Saturday.
“Wala pa kaming nakikita, wala pa kaming natatanggap,” said Marcial, who added even GAB chairman Francisco Rivera hasn’t reached out to him regarding the matter.
Northport management said it's in the same boat.
“Wala pa rin,” texted Batang Pier team governor Eric Arejola to SPIN.ph.
Once the GAB order is made official, Amores will be declared ineligible to play in the PBA and will lose what remains of his contract with NorthPort.
As things stand now, the 24-year-old shooting guard is suspended for the entire Commissioner's Cup without pay, but is allowed to join Northport in its practices and other team activities with corresponding allowances.
But even those meager stipend stands to lose once his ineligibility status is made official.
Marcial though admitted being taken by surprise about the announcement made the government regulatory body.
"Oo nagulat din kami. More so, wala kaming nakuhang kopya nung decision," said the PBA chief.
The latest Amores dilemma stemmed from a shooting incident the Northport guard and his brother got involved with last Sept. 25 when he fired shots against a man identified as Lee Cacalda last Sept. 25 over a reported unpaid side bet in a pickup game in Lumban, Laguna.
