RPTV will now be the official free-to-air broadcast channel of the PBA.
All of the games in the upcoming Philippine Cup will be seen live on RPTV Channel 9 starting on Wednesday.
Games of the season-opening Commissioner’s Cup were previously shown on free TV on the A2Z channel starting at 4 p.m. for the first game and then at 8 p.m. for the main game.
RPTV then began co-airing PBA outings starting in the first conference finals, before finally acquiring the sole rights to air the games starting this All-Filipino conference.
With games now shown on RPTV Channel 9, game time has also been adjusted beginning at 4:30 p.m. for the curtain raiser and 7:30 p.m. for the featured match.
RPTV is also on Channel 10 on Cignal TV, Channel 9 at SatLite, and Channels 18.2 and 19.1 on DTT.
The PBA can still be watched live on PBA Rush for Cignal TV subscribers on Channel 90 for SD and HD on Channel 260.
It’s also available on mobile devices, tablets, laptops, and Smart TV on Pilipinas Live, which can be downloaded via Google Play and App Store.
For its full-time, initial salvo, James Yap will be marking his comeback as he raises the curtain with the rest of the Blackwater Bossing at 4:30 p.m. when they collide against the Meralco Bolts at Ynares Center in Antipolo, to be followed by the clash between the TNT Tropang Giga and the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters at 7:30 p.m.
