SERIOUS actions ahead, as the PBA has consulted the NBI for steps to address death threats on players.
Last Friday night, Barangay Ginebra guard RJ Abarrientos shared screenshots of death threats directed at him and his family after the Gin Kings' loss to Meralco.

Condemning the act, PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial said the league is already in contact with authorities regarding the "unacceptable" matter.
"Pinoprotektahan din natin 'yung mga player natin sa ganyang mga bagay. Kino-coordinate na natin ito sa proper authority, in this case, the NBI. Kinausap na nila si RJ tungkol dito," he said.
He added that he has already reached out to Abarrientos and the Gin Kings management, assuring them of actions being taken.
"Nakita ko rin 'yung messages, nasa akin na, kaya nakipag-coordinate na rin tayo sa NBI," he added.
