PBA officials will meet with coaches and team managers on Friday to set in motion the return to practice of the league's 12 ballclubs upon the green light given by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF).
PBA commissioner Willie Marcial said health protocols and other guidelines set by the league for the resumption of training during the general community quarantine (GCQ) in Manila will be discussed with team officials.
From there, the PBA board of governors will meet over the weekend to set the date for the start of team practices in a controlled environment.
“Ang first step, coaches meeting kami and team managers meeting sa Friday para kausapin sila regarding the protocols, comments, suggestions at kung ano pa madadagdag nila," said Marcial.
"And then magpapatawag kami ng governors board meeting, maybe Saturday through Monday, na malalaman namin through chairman Ricky Vargas,” he added. “After nun, mga five to seven days magsisimula na tayo ng practice."

This will be the first between the coaches and team managers and Marcial since the league was suspended on March 11 due to the onset of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Once practices formally resume, teams will be allowed to practice in batches of six persons – four players, one trainer, and one health officer.
All team personnel are also required to undergo COVID-19 tests three days before practices resume.
July 22 is the possible date where teams will be allowed to practice in preparation for the possible restart of the 2020 season.
