A PBA rule that puts a limit on the number of Fil-foreign players in one team has ruled out a possible move by many-time All-Star Danny Seigle to Talk 'N Text.
Rumors of Seigle's possible move to Talk 'N Text flew after the many-time Finals MVP's negotiations with Barako Bull on a new contract was rescinded by the Energy Cola, making him a restricted free agent.

However, Tropang Texters team manager Paolo Trillo denied that the team is in negotiations with Seigle, saying, "As far as negotiation is concerned, I don’t think there’s anything like that going.”

Trillo also pointed out that even if Talk 'N Text wants to sign Seigle, the team won't be able to because of a league rule that caps the number of Fil-foreign players to five on the active list and one on the reserves.
“We’re full right now. We have 14 (players) in the active roster and two on the reserve (list). Also, we have six Fil-Ams with one on the reserve list,” said Trillo, the longtime team manager of Ateneo who recently succeeded Aboy Castro in the same position at Tak 'N Text.
Kelly Williams filled the fifth Fil-foreign spot at Talk ‘N Text when the former MVP returned to the league after a seven-month medical leave owing to a rare blood disorder known as idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura.
Trillo, though, admitted that Seigle can be an asset to any team in the league at 37.
