JARED Dillinger has requested fans to stop voting for him for the PBA All-Star Game in Bacolod this year.
The Barangay Ginebra veteran made this appeal on his Twitter/X account a few days ago after learning that he is in the hunt for one of the 24 All-Star spots that will be determined by fans.
The former Gilas Pilipinas player said there are a lot of players more deserving to be in the All-Star Game than him.
“The lovely fans have me ranked No. 27 on All-Star voting for this year,” Dillinger wrote. “It’s all over. But stop voting for me. I don’t deserve to be there, let’s be real now.”

The PBA has let fans choose the 24 players to the All-Star event through voting at the playing venues and online, but the league has also allotted four slots to be voted in by the coaches and media starting this year.
The partial results of the voting saw nine Ginebra players in the Top 24, with Japeth Aguilar, Scottie Thompson, Christian Standhardinger, LA Tenorio, and Jamie Malonzo occupying the top five.
“Eternally grateful for the love. But others are far more deserving,” said Dillinger.
The top two vote-getters will be the team captains of the All-Star Game. Last year in Passi, Iloilo, Team Japeth won over Team Scottie, 140-136, with Paul Lee winning the MVP award.
