PAUL Lee says he will be ready to go when Magnolia guns for the PBA Philippine Cup title against defending champion San Miguel on Sunday.
“Oo makakalaro ako,” Lee guaranteed shortly after the Hotshots’ nail-biting 88-86 win over the Beermen in Game Five of the title series on Friday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Lee hurt his shoulder with 1:43 left in the highly-charged game marred by a commotion when an unidentified streaker wearing a Spiderman costume, suddenly entered the playing court and disrupted the match.
The veteran guard quietly left the game and never came back with Magnolia holding on a shaky 84-83 lead.
He had 12 points and three rebounds.
Although there’s some pain on the shoulder, Lee said it won't keep him out of the next game.
“Kailangan lang i-observe ngayon overnight and then tignan tomorrow morning kung gaano siya ka-sore,” said Lee. “So nothing serious naman.”
It’s not as serious when he dislocated his shoulder while still playing for Rain or Shine during the 2012 Governors Cup finals against Star.
“I know yung feeling ng na-dislocate, kasi nung na-dislocate nun parang sobrang punung-puno yung shoulder ko, parang namamaga na hindi mo maintindihan,” he said.
“Pero ngayon ok lang. May part lang na masakit talaga. Tsaka nag-tight na, kaya kailangan lang bantayan.”
