IT was a double celebration for Paul Lee
On the day he became a father to a bouncing baby girl, the combo guard also renewed his contract with Magnolia Pambansang Manok.
The 29-year-old national team player signed a three-year deal with the Hotshots on Monday in the presence of long-time manager Lawrence Chongson, Magnolia team manager Alvin Patrimonio and team governor Rene Pardo.
Later in the day, his wife Rubie gave birth at St. Luke’s hospital to their first baby which the couple named ‘Tokyo.’
“Three years yung contract niya,” said Chongson. “New contract, new baby on the same day. Lucky guy.”
Two weeks ago, the Hotshots also signed to a new, three-year contract big man Ian Sangalang, one of the close friends of Lee in the team.
The signing of the two, who recently suited up for coach Yeng Guiao with Team Pilipinas, meant the Hotshots are bent on building the core of its young team around them.
