FORTY-EIGHT applicants beat the deadline and are now part of the 2018 PBA Rookie Draft pool.
The deadline was set at 12 noon on Monday as the league prepares to welcome a new batch of neophytes to the pro league this Sunday at Robinsons Place Manila.
Projected top selections CJ Perez, Bobby Ray Parks, and Robert Bolick headline the list that also includes a sprinkling of Fil-foreign players.
Also on the list are forwards Bong Quinto, Abu Tratter, Javee Mocon, and Michael Calisaan, as well as guards J-Jay Alejandro, Trevis Jackson, and Ron Dennison.
University of the Philippines standouts Paul Desiderio and Diego Dario have also filed their applications at the end of the UAAP season, after the deadline was moved back a week from its original December 3 date.
All 48 must attend the Draft Combine, set on Wednesday and Thursday at Gatorade Hoops Center in Mandalulong, to formalize their entry in the final draft list, set to be released on Friday.
Columbian Dyip owns the top selection in this year's annual rookie selection, to be followed by Blackwater, NorthPort, Phoenix, and Meralco.
