BLACKWATER has tendered contract offers to three rookies selected in the first round of the PBA Rookie Draft, including No. 2 overall pick Bobby Ray Parks.
The tender offers were submitted to the PBA office in Libis, Quezon City, in a move that was necessary so Blackwater can keep the rights on the three rookies.
However, no signing can be especially in the case of Paul Desiderio and Abu Tratter, who were acquired in a trade with NLEX for big man John Paul Erram.
The Office of the Commissioner has yet to act on the trade proposal, leaving Blackwater no choice but to only make a tender offer.
Under league rules, first-round picks have to be offered a contract five days after the draft, otherwise they will be considered as free agents.
Desiderio was acquired by the Road Warriors at No. 4 overall while Tratter came in at No. 7 during Sunday's draft at Robinsons Place Manila.
Parks, on the other hand, was offered a two-year max deal by the Elite, although he still has a live contract with Alab Pilipinas in the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL).
