CALL him coach Brent?
Brent Paraiso played down one sequence during a Terrafirma huddle where he was seen giving out instructions to the team in its huge 114-109 win over previously undefeated NLEX on Friday night in the PBA Governors Cup.

The 6-foot-1 Paraiso said it is normal in the Dyip camp to see guards encouraging teammates andgiving out out pep talks during timeout huddles.
“Inuutusan kami ni coach Jared (Jarencio) na kaming mga point guards ang mag-i-instruct sa team. Parang gel lang namin as a team. So yun lang,” he said of the practice encouraged by Jarencio, one of Terrafirma’s deputy coaches and son of former PBA gunner Pido Jarencio.
“Very open naman sila (Dyip) sa mga suggestion ng players. Parang pinag-kakatiwala rin niya sa amin yung game.”
Paraiso though, wouldn’t commit when asked if a career in coaching is in the horizon for him.
“Hindi natin alam. We will see,” he said.
On this night, Paraiso walked the talk as he took over for Terrafirma at crunch time, scoring seven of his 18 points, including four straight that put the team in front for good, 113-109.
He finished with 18 points – the third best of his career – along with a pair of rebounds, assists, and steals.
The former Letran standout said the win over the league leader is certainly a boost for the Dyip.
“Malaking confidence booster sa team namin ito kasi heartbreaking loss kami last game against Macau (96-92). And to defeat the No. 1 team in the league, malaki para sa amin yun,” said Paraiso.
Terrafirma improved to a 3-4 (win-loss) record.
