DALPH Panopio buried the game-winning shot for Blackwater while Barangay Ginebra took a victory in a rout during Wednesday’s tune-up games around the PBA.
Panopio scored the go-ahead basket with eight seconds left to lift the Bossing to a 95-93 win over Meralco at the Meralco Gym.

At the near 'The Upper Deck' gym, Barangay Ginebra opened its tune-up game series with a 108-81 victory over Terrafirma.
Panopio’s heroics was a bounce back performance for the No. 3 pick in the draft after a lackadaisical tune-up game against Converge last Saturday.
Jack Cruz-Dumont also had a solid showing in the contest, according to head coach Jeff Cariaso.
“Both rookies played well today,” said Cariaso.
Meralco lost just days after its 95-89 win over Rain or Shine in an exhibition match-up in Ilagan, Isabela.
The Gin Kings also had a strong showing with the blowout victory. Snippets from the Ginebra boy’s ball-ballers Facebook page showed Maverick Ahanmisi, Norbert Torres, and rookie Sonny Estil present in the tune-up contest.
