    Vengeful Pampanga Delta rout La Union PAOwer for 2-1 lead in NBL Finals

    CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Pampanga took a 2-1 series in the National Basketball League (NBL) Season 3 Black Arrow Express-President’s Cup after beating La Union, 82-73, on Monday at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center.

    Michael Juico topscored with 26 points while Levi Hernandez scored 14 of his 16 points in the first half, when the Delta pulled away for good on the way to atoning for an 84-80 loss to the PAOwer in Game Two.

    Pampanga can close out the best-of-five series on Wednesday in Game Four.

      The Delta opened leads of as many as 19 points as they got significant contributions from Al Liangco, who chipped in 13 points and five steals, and Raymond Binuya, who tallied 11 points off the bench.

      Roman Gatchallan contributed 23 points on 4-of-9 shooting from three-point land and Jayson Apolonio added 14 points for the PAOwer, who hit 10 three-pointers but made just 27 percent of their shots from that distance.
