BRANDON Ganuelas-Rosser doesn't need to go that far for advice as he plays in his first ever PBA finals.
He has older brother Matt Ganuelas-Rosser as an ideal model to look up to.
The TNT big shares he's in constant communication with his now US-based sibling days leading to the Philippine Cup title series between the Tropang 5G and the San Miguel Beermen.

Now fully healed from an ACL injury, he's now a vital piece of this team's ambitious bid to win a grand slam, which means he has to be at his best when he suits up in a title series for the very first time.
Of course, Matt has plenty of championship experience during the time he spent playing in Asia’s pioneering pro league as, coincidentally, part of both TNT and San Miguel from 2014-2024.
“He’s been texting me, calling me all throughout this playoffs, encouraging me, giving me tips, and stuff like that,” he said of his 35-year-old brother.

BGR has assumed a vital role as a force in the middle for TNT since returning to the lineup late in the elimination round following a season of rehab and recovery after going down with an ACL injury last year.
He’s expected to play an even significant part in the title series against San Miguel especially with veteran big man and former MVP Kelly Williams still not yet fully healed from his sprained ankle.
In the six games he played in the semis opposite Rain or Shine, Ganuelas-Rosser averaged 11.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.8 blocked shots in 26 minutes per outing.

For the entire conference that he played, BGR normed 9.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.3 blocked shots in 22 minutes of play.
Now in the finals, he’ll be up against the best big man in the league today in June Mar Fajardo as the Beermen stand in the way of the Tropang 5G’s bid for a historic grand slam and Ganuelas-Rosser’s personal attempt at winning his first championship as an active player.
And as he shoots for his first PBA ring, BGR knows he's got some catching up to do if he wants to stand beside his brother's achievement in the league.
“He has six of them, so I have a lot of way to go to catch up,” said BGR.
