AS Blackwater forward Ogie Menor tries to earn the trust of head coach Leo Isaac, the former San Beda Red Lion is getting a lot more attention for his outlandish hairstyle.

The burly 6-2 wingman had heads turning on Tuesday when he arrived for the Elite's game at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Tuesday with a hairstyle he described as the “butiki” (lizard) look.

Simply put, the hairstyle looked as if an iguana had landed on the top of enforcer's head.

“Para maiba naman, para di laging Mohawk,” the former NCAA Finals MVP said when asked by some sportswriters about the new look after the game.

The 28-year-old Roxas, Isabela native said his latest hairstyle statement, a follow-up to his mohawk hair last season with Air21, was a product of his favorite barber’s creativity.

He usually goes to True Cuts, a barber shop along Timog Ave., Quezon City to have it trimmed and styled up by his favorite barber named Erdie.

“Pero pahahabain ko naman eh. Mabilis humaba yung buhok ko, so pag humaba ulit, balik na sa Mohawk,” he added with a smile.
