ONE of only two remnants of the defunct Alaska franchise just signed a new deal with Converge.
Veteran forward Kevin Racal was signed to a fresh contract by the FiberXers after his previous deal expired last month.
The new contract - and not an extension - is good for one season, as per sources of SPIN.ph.

Racal, 33, is one of two former Alaska players still with Converge since it bought the multi-titled franchise three years ago lock, stock, and barrel.
The other is Alec Stockton.
Racal was with his agent Danny Espiritu when he signed the new contract, while representing Converge were coach Franco Atienza and alternate governor CK Kanapi-Daniolco.
Until Jackson Corpuz came on board in the ongoing PBA Philippine Cup, Racal was the most senior player in the FiberXers' relatively young roster.

But he has the most extensive experience in terms of playing years though, as he's in his 10th season in the league after being picked in the first round of the 2015 draft by Alaska ( No. 11 overall).
He played in the Finals three times with the Aces, but fell short of winning the title on all occasions.
Racal though did win an NCAA men's basketball championship with Letran in 2015 under former coach Aldin Ayo.
