NORTHPORT made an immediate import change in the PBA Governors’ Cup, bringing back Venky Jois for its next game on Friday.
The 31-year-old Australian will replace Taylor Johns and is expected to suit up when the Batang Pier take on the Terrafirma Dyip at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Jois suited up for Northport during the Commissioner’s Cup last season where the team reached the quarterfinals.
The move came about after the Batang Pier lost to TNT Tropang Giga last Tuesday, 101-95, where, curiously, Johns came an assist short of a triple double with his 36 points, 16 rebounds, and nine assists.

Jois is coming fresh from a stint with the Sichuan Blue Whales in the Chinese Basketball Association.
The Eastern Washington product is already in the country, although Northport is still awaiting clearance of his papers before he could play in time for the team's game on Friday.
