TRUE to coach Pido Jarencio's words, NorthPort will be parading a new import when it resumes its PBA Governors Cup campaign on Wednesday against San Miguel.
Michael Qualls is set to make his debut with the Batang Pier at the Astrodome in their 7 p.m. match against the Beermen, taking over from Mychal Ammons.
A product of Arkansas, Qualls suited up in the G-League and in the Israeli League.
He's been brought in to help the Batang Pier make one final push to the playoffs after going 2-4 (win-loss) with Ammons around.
Despite Ammons helping NorthPort wallop Phoenix in his final outing, 80-70, Jarencio hinted about a possible import change by the team.

"Basta tandaan ninyo walang permanente dito sa mundo," he said. "Basta kami nandito lang. May dumating, o walang dumating. Pinalitan, papalitan."
