NORBERT Torres has been released from the hospital after undergoing treatment for stab wounds suffered in a parking lot melee in Bonifacio Global City early Sunday.
Torres’ agent Marvin Espiritu said the Rain or Shine big man received 11 stitches to close a stab wound in his left arm. Doctors expect Torres to be able to play again after one week, Espiritu added.
Torres along with former La Salle teammates Jeron Teng and Thomas Torres were stabbed after figuring in a fight witrh three suspects who were later arrested by Taguig police.
The incident happened just hours after Torres suited up for Rain or Shine in a game Magnolia on Saturday night at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
Espiritu also said Torres has already issued his statement to the police.
