THE PBA will review the sequence that led to the verbal altercation between import Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and coach Yeng Guiao during the Rain or Shine-TNT PBA Commissioner’s Cup game over the weekend.
Commissioner Willie Marcial said he wants to personally watch the game tape once he arrives in Manila from Iloilo where he spent Friday and Saturday to oversee the out-of-town game between Meralco and Magnolia.

“Pagbalik sa Manila panoorin ko yung tape ng laro,” said Marcial, who actually watched the game on TV, but wanted to dissect even more the circumstances that led to the incident.
“Kakausapin ko rin yung technical committee at pakikinggan ko kung ano yung nakita nila at kung ano ang recommendation nila.”
If ever there will be summon on both parties, it will be known either on Monday or Tuesday.
Hollis-Jefferson found himself in the middle of the storm after incessantly complaining about the foul called on his brother and replacement Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson in the final 49 seconds and TNT just trailing by six.
The former NBA player berated game officials and followed them to the sideline, eventually leading him behind the bench of Rain or Shine.

Guiao and the Elasto Painters obviously didn’t like the presence of Hollis-Jefferson behind their bench and soon after, heated exchange of words were said.
As action resumed, Rain or Shine were given three free throws as Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson was also whistled for a technical foul for resentment to a call, other than the regular foul called on him as he tried to block an attempt by Tree Treadwell.
The Elasto won the match, 119-112, to clinch a berth in the quarterfinals.
Guiao said afterwards Hollis-Jefferson going behind the bench of Rain or Shine is ‘totally disrespectful,’ while the TNT import and naturalized player of Jordan maintained he was after the referee and not the Elasto Painters since ‘I was upset at the call.’
