THERE’d be one less giant that PBA teams will have to worry about come the mid-season Commissioner’s Cup.
The Macau Black Knights, formerly known as the ‘Black Bears,’ unveiled their line-up on their official Instagram account and one gigantic name was missing from the list – Sam Deguara.

The team will still be bolstered by Tony Mitchell, as previously announced, but the two imports were supposed to alternate in between games – a luxury that guest teams had ever since the PBA started welcoming foreign squads in the tournament.

From the looks of it, Deguara will be plying his trade for the Yankey Ark in the Taiwanese P.LEAGUE+, with reports stating that the big man has signed with the team as early as the first week of February.
That development was confirmed by no less than their head coach Garret Kelly, when Pinoy basketball fan Pat Gaviola asked him in the comment section on the whereabouts of the 7-foot-6 center.
‘Taiwan,’ was Kelly’s brief reply.
Deguara has already played his first game with Yankey Ark on Sunday, scoring 20 points and grabbing 12 boards in the win.
Still there’s no word if the Black Knights would have him replaced with another alternate import, or whether they’d be sticking with Mitchell as their reinforcement for the duration of the conference.
