TROY Rosario wouldn’t trade his wedding day for anything – even for playing in Game Six of the PBA Philippine Cup semifinals where TNT could’ve had a better chance of finishing off San Miguel.
After missing Game Six, which TNT lost, last Saturday, the same day he tied the knot with college sweetheart Mich, the Texters sophomore forward returned to action in the deciding game, but couldn’t save his team from a 96-83 defeat to the Beermen.
But Rosario has no regrets.
“Wala naman. Nangyari na 'yun at nagkaroon pa rin kami ng chance,” the 25-year-old cager said. “Talagang nasa kamay pa rin namin pero hindi lang namin nakuha.”
The Texters saw the beginning of the end in the third quarter where the Beermen outscored them, 36-21, to pull away and deny TNT a place in the finals.
“Nangyari na eh. Talagang hindi lang kami nakapag-adjust,” Rosario, who contributed five points on four shots, three rebounds in 14 minutes off the bench, said.
“Thankful lang kami na nakarating kami dito,” he added. “Una pa lang, kinount na kami out. Thankful kami na umabot ng Game Seven. Nagkaroon pa kami ng chance, kaso di lang namin nakuha.”
Career takes priority over love this time as Rosario and the Texters prepare for the Commissioner’s Cup, saying there are no plans yet for his honeymoon with Mich.
“Wala pa naman plano (sa honeymoon),” Rosario disclosed.
