NLEX will go import-less on Friday when it goes up against Converge in the PBA 50th Season Governors’ Cup.
Team governor Ronald Dulatre confirmed that the Road Warriors have yet to find a replacement for injured DeQuan Jones in time for Friday’s game.

Afterwards, NLEX will have more time to look for a replacement reinforcement, as the FiberXers game will be its last before heading to the break to give way to Gilas Pilipinas' participation in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Asian Qualifiers and the Asian Games.
Dulatre assured that the Road Warriors will already have an import by the time they return to action on October 7 against Macau.
NLEX was scampering to look for an import after Jones sustained serious injuries to his right knee and ankle against TNT last Tuesday.
Jones already underwent surgery for his ankle dislocation on Wednesday, and is scheduled for a similar procedure for his fractured fibula.
The Road Warriors, with a 7-1 mark, will look to stay in first-place in Group A in their matchup against Converge, which is tied with the Tropang 5G at third with a 4-4 record.
