AS it continues to look forward to a bright future, NLEX takes on an ally from the recent past in its PBA Governors’ Cup matchup against Blackwater on Friday night at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

The Road Warriors face former import Bill Walker in the 7 p.m. matchup with the objective of tightening their grip on second spot with a sixth win in seven games.

Walker showed the same NBA-caliber level of play in his debut for the Elite two Sundays ago when he registered 32 points, 15 boards, and five assists while battling cramps the entire fourth period in leading his new team to a 92-86 win over Phoenix, their first in four games.

And Walker is expected to put on another virtuoso performance against his former team in the hope of leading his new team to a win streak.

NLEX star Kevin Alas believes Walker is extra motivated to play against the Road Warriors after playing for the squad the last two editions of the season-ending conference.
